While they did eventually go their separate ways, Naga kept moving forward with her journey and continued doing all she could to learn more about magic in hopes that one day she could finally beat her rival.

The two of them even developed a strange rivalry and friendship as time went on, almost becoming ‘frenemies’ of sorts. Muta: Ah, but that is not the end of her story! Ever the tenacious tamale, Naga continued her journey, she continued to improve her magic, and she continued to challenge Lina Inverse.

So she tracked her down, made herself known, and fought Lina one on one! … Only to make a fool of herself and suffer a swift and humiliating defeat. Maestro: Not wishing to be out done, Naga decided she would challenge this so-called Invincible Dark Lord (A title that Naga gave Lina herself) to prove she was the superior sorceress. She was none other than the one and only Lina Inverse! Despite this sorceress being only 13 years old, she had gained quite the reputation for her own magic power and numerous accomplishments. Instead, stories of a much younger sorceress were being spread through out the land. However, despite her prowess, no one seemed to be talking about her. Muta: As the years went by, Naga eventually grew into a woman who had indeed mastered an abundance of offensive spells. She had no interest in saving people or fighting villains she was just on a personal mission to get stronger AND make loads of money. Ross: Considering she feels responsible for her dead parent and has a secret identity, one might think that Naga sounds like a Super Hero, right? Well, Naga is no hero, that’s for sure. So she settled on a new title: NAGA THE SERPENT!ĭr. But being a runaway princess, she couldn’t just call herself Gracia as she needed to keep her identity secret. She carried on her mother’s spirit by adopting both her noble laughter and dressing just like her. Muta: From that point forward she traveled across the land, mastering all kinds of magic spells. Case and point: Shortly after her mother’s funeral, Gracia raided her mother’s closet, stole a bunch of her mother’s old stuff (including her scanty sorceress costume), and ran away from home. Ross: Well considering what she had just gone through, I really doubt she’d be thinking rationally at this point. Maestro: You’d think she’d want to focus more on perfecting healing magic to save as many lives as possible.ĭr. But not just any magic! She wanted to learn the most powerful offensive spells possible! But being that her kingdom specialized in white magic, she realized she might have to leave home first. This left her with a strong desire to learn even more about magic than ever before. Muta: Ay! I know! It is tan trágico! The poor niñita felt responsible for her mother’s death, believing that she could have prevented her assassination if only she were more powerful. The bad news was that killing the man who killed her mother only made an already traumatic experience all the more traumatizing. The good news is that she didn’t need to dedicate the next few years of her life to revenge. In a fit of rage, she used her mother’s “Chaos String” spell to kill the assassin before he could do anything else. Ross: To make things all the more grim, Gracia actually WITNESSED her mother being violently stabbed to death by this intruder. Ross: Wait, so you’re telling me that the parental figure that Gracia was closest with during her childhood was tragically KILLED?ĭr. But through mistaken a case of mistaken identity, Gracia’s mother was killed instead!ĭr. However, one night an assassin named ‘Booley’ was sent to kill Gracia in an attempt to wipe out one of the possible heirs to the throne. She had even successfully learned her mother’s very own spell the chaos string. Maestro: Gracia had great admiration from her mother often imitating her mannerisms and trying to act like a noble woman herself. Turns out she was actually really good with it, likely thanks to her mother giving her some pointers. It was tradition that the daughters of the Salliune family were raised to be priestesses, so Gracia spent most of her childhood studying magic spells around the castle.

Muta: Still, we got a lot to get through before that part! Now where were we… Ah, si. Ross: Yeah, as if no one could see that coming.
